Hi all I have a non answered question since the beginning of the year when I had an interview with a 3rd party recruiter on a contract job position with Aramco. I rejected to carry on with that process cuz I have already my direct offer with Aramco. My question is why that 3rd party was able to relocate me within 2 months whereas direct employee to Aramco are waiting for up to more than 1 year sometime. What is the reality of such long delay? Are there a certain nationality who usually wait long time.? Any American for instance or British who still waiting so long ?
Thanks all I am just trying to find the logic if any behind such delay !

It is very possible that the 3rd party recruiter already had a block visa with an open slot on it that corresponded to your position. That being the case, they would be able to get you over here quite quickly.
If Aramco had a block visa with a slot on it that was appropriate for you, they could also get you here in a relatively short time. As far as I am aware, nationality has no bearing on the time taken to get a suitable slot on a block visa for any particular person. There have been (possibly still are) British and Americans who have waited as much as a year for the whole process to be completed.

And Canadians, Brazilians, and Mexicans who have been held up with the visa embargo/delay. As GroveWanderer points out, contractors are a different breed and open to different opportunities, not least of which is that they are 'targeted' hires. When there is an open le that needs to be filled quickly, it may be through a contract hire, if the company deems it critical. Not the same as an 'employee' hire which wants to be long term and well invested.
While I expect and understand that there is a fair deal of 'point-of-origin' stratification in KSA, I do not believe that it exists within ASC/AOC beyond the need to exactly match a visa le and I further believe that attempts to make this about where someone comes from is counterproductive.
