Hi,
Are they really that strict at the airport regarding medication? We want to bring our 'stock', but we don't have any prescription...
Most of them are vitamin's, cough sirup, ...
Should i risk it and put them in my suitcases on the plan?

Thanks django, I have same question for anyone on the Forum. Aramco shipping procedures state that "Any kind of medicine, including vitamins, cough syrup, etc." are subject to confiscation and fine, unless a letter from doctor is presented. But on this Forum (and I think even during Orientation at ASC?) they recommended taking several months' supply of basic OTC meds (Tylenol, allergy meds, vitamin, Pepcid, etc.). So not really sure what I can pack, vs. leave behind? And is it OK to put in E-box or sea shipment, or better to put in luggage/carry-on?

Personal quanies of OTC medications are usually no problem in your luggage or carry-on. The key is to not have a one year supply for example. Most items can be found here, even brands, if you ask the pharmacist. Be cautious about anything that contains banned or controlled substances; this category would include mouth wash with alcohol or certain painkillers containing codeine (e.g. 222, 292, Tylenol 3, etc.) which are OTC in some jurisdictions by prescription/controlled in others.
For the most part, use common sense as you would when traveling internationally.

We bring in a year's supply of vitamins for two of us all the time. And when our boys were here it was four of us. We bring them in our checked luggage. Yes, they probably could chek on them, but never have.
Do have a doctor's note for prescription meds. If they are checked, then there would not be a problem. If you have OTC medicines with codeine or other substance that may be controlled here, just ask your doctor to write a note about needing them prn and they should be ok if checked.
