Hi
My relocation advisor has advised we have been assigned ABQ as our camp. Work would be in Dhahran.
Although move time is not confirmed as yet - still waiting for visa block, etc, etc ...
We've however received acceptance from Aramco school for our children. Acceptance states that our children would be able to attend K4 when they are of 5 years of age.
At the moment my eldest one is 18 months and the younger one is 3 months old !!! So a few years for them to be able to attend K4.
My question is regarding pre-school / pre-k / kindergarten. Understand this is what my children would be able to attend when they are 4 years old (as per the US schooling system). In the UK they would have started school (reception / nursery) when they are 3 years old.
Should I be expecting to receive a separate acceptance for pre-k / kindergarten?
To the above question relocation has replied the following: "There is one school acceptance process. The school acceptance is part of the formalities you have to clear just in order for the Company to be informed that one day your children will attend at the Aramco school, but on when, it will be up to you."
If any one can please help and guide in terms of process and options for putting my children in kindergarten / pre-k / nursery for then they are 3 years old.
Thanks !!

We will be locally based in Abqaiq as well.
Our daughter will be turning three before Sept so she can join K3 (Pre-school) in Abqaiq. I have asked same question from my relocation adviser to confirm me if my daughter is all good to join from this year, I am currently waiting for her response. I have also checked the possibility if she can connect me with the school directly (although I highly doubt that could be arranged).
The thing I am worried: I checked off camp British and American schools and they are not accepting any new students for Pre K3 class.
I am also interested to know about the same.

Thanks Toronto2KHR - I guess your worry is more immediate than mine, as my kids have a good 18 months after which they reach the age of 3 and would be in their nursery / pre-k going age!
But with all these delays in visa block issues, etc... you never know we might end up departing for KSA in 18 months time! (hopefully not)...
Any advice on the above would be greatly appreciated.

Your child has to be 3 years old on or before August 31 of that school year to enroll in K3. K3 is not free, but K4 is free. The K3 program started last year, so it's relatively new to Aramco.
Don't worry. In May, they usually do the K3 enrollment and orientation for the parents. They send out an email about it, and I'm sure by the time your kids will need to enroll that you'll know other parents who will also keep you updated!

Hi all,
We're new to the forum. :-)
Our visa block has now been approved and we're excited about moving to Saudi Arabia.
We also have two young children, 5 1/2 and 3 1/2. We haven't discussed about the school yet but I expect that it will happen really soon.
We also don't know in which campus we will be staying but we would really like to get in touch with families with young children living in SA at the moment.
We've read previous posts and they have been really helpful but we would love to speak with other families about the day--to-day life is SA preferably via email or skype please :-)
Would appreciate you if you could get in touch please - feeling really excited and any help / advice on what to expect for the children and how to get better organised would be great!!!
Thanks everyone! :-)

It would be best if I knew which compound you were headed to so the contacts could be from that camp. Email me: vpainter29@yahoo.com
