So the wife and I just did our visa medical/orientation today and found out that we have been assigned to ABQ instead of Rakah. Not a deal breaker but not exactly ideal for us as we have been me mentally prepping for Rakah. My question is if anyone knows if Rakah is getting full? My relo advisor said that we had been assigned to ABQ all along (which was news to us as the offer said TBD) but I was told Rakah by recruiting. Any and all help/info is appreciated.

My source is informal/gossip but I was told a while ago that Rakkah had been fully commited. I think about 300 out of 526 units are occupied right now. Some of the units have been designated for Bachelors, you will learn from this forum, which I suppose is more optimal.

ABQ is actually a very nice camp. Very clean, neat & friendly neighborhood. Unlike Rakkah, Abq is a full-fledged camp with its own school, hospital, etc. (like a smaller version of Dhahran). Our friends who live there really like it.
