Thanks to all who run this forum and make it such a great resource for helping us understand what we're really getting ourselves into. It makes our decisions easier!
Just a couple quick questions for you all. Hopefully the first of many!
I just received my emailed offer yesterday and things look good. It shows this information:
Work Day Residence Location: Dhahran Work Location: Co. Housing Days off Residence: Co. Housing
Knowing that Dhahran is full, I'm expecting this to change as things progress. True?
Question #2 - At the end of the offer, I have some bold text that says (paraphrased):
...should you accept the offer, your prompt arrival in-Kingdom is critical. ... family status... plan to arrive in Saudi Arabia within 90 days of your acceptance.
Is this standard language on most offers, or should I really be believing this?
Thanks for everyone's help in advance.

Some people are processed very quickly and some are not. It could happen, or it could slow down as the process progresses. If you are needed quickly and your position is critical to the company, the process can move very quickly.

The 90 days language is because after your visa is issued immediately, you and your family have 90 days to actually enter the Kingdom or the visa is no longer valid. If there is a visa block already open for your job and qualifications, the visa could be issued immediately. On the other hand, there may not be an open visa spot for exactly your qualifications, and you may have to wait months for a visa to be issued (which happened recently to a very large number of people). Hopefully, the days of waiting months for visas are behind us, and future visa blocks will be opened more quickly.

Received and offer this week stating work location Dahran but no housing location specified. Should I assume that is the Dahran compound?
Also, in letter, it is stated that the offer is valid for one week. However, I decided to negotiate. The recruiter is out of office and will not be available to respond to my request. Can anyone share their experience with the negotiation process? Do they withdraw the offer if you decide to negotiate?
Thanks in advance!
