Hi everyone,
I guess I am in the process of degree attest. My relocation adviser asked for a document called method of study for my higher degree. Basically it is supposed to be provided by the registrar office of the school. I graduated from a top ranked US school for my Master's degree in petroleum engineering. I sent my transcript and degree by email for my Master's to my relocation adviser at ASC. I mentioned that since they are going to trust a third party to attest all my degrees including my Master's, the third party can just ask for the method of study from the school. She just accepted my document without a word on the requirement of method of study anymore. I found this document request a bit bizarre. Have you guys run into the same request? p.s I am a Canadian.
thanks, MS.

I had to provide a method of study letter too. It was no big deal in the end. My relo adv gave me some examples of letters, I called my university in the States, and emailed them the examples. They made up a letter using the language of the examples, had the registrar sign it, and put it in a signed and sealed envelope and sent it to me with new official transcripts. Although my university had never heard of a method of study letter they did it anyway and in only a couple of days. It should be printed on university letterhead.
I found that as long as you can tell them precisely what to write it's no big deal.

I wonder if they are worry if the degree corresponds for a career that has been taken through Distance Learning and hence they ask you that. I have read that they are not too keen on DL degrees. Just my thought.

thank you guys for the quick replies. I think you are right SA like to differentiate the degree obtained by full time classroom setting from distance education. just my guess too.
