Will be joining this summer, working at the R&D Center and living in the main camp at Dhahran on Bachelor Status. Is there a specific accommodation (size, shape, location) in the camp for Bachelors or are they spread-out within?
Is the size/location of housing a function of GC or is it independent of that.

Well a high grade code (15 and above) may possibly get you something nice. But for 11-13/14 most probably a townhouse type 2 storey bachelor pad like a lot of us have.

Is there a square footage / layout that is typical?
Are they one BR/one Bath with a living room and kitchen - or is there more?
How far from the R&D Center?

o vpainter - are you able to send me the email as well? I'd like to have an idea of what the bachelor housing looks like.
Also quick question - I keep reading the DHA housing is full however, I've also been told as a single female I will most likely still get housing in DHA. Is this true? Or can single females also be placed outside of DHA?

Housing location depends on availability at the time of arrival. When possible, ladies are assigned to the compound where they work.

vpainter, Would you please send me an email with the Bachelor's housing layout in Darahan, also. I am likely to be coming in July. I am a single female---- at the last step. I am waiting for my visa to be returned from the consulate. I already have a visa le and was told it has been taking 5 to 7 business days. My fingers are crossed!  |
