When a shipper is assigned to you, they also take care of the packing of all furniture?
Or they only come and pick everything up?

They pack everything unless they tell you specifically on your survey that they can't do it.
Example: They want me to disassemble our trampoline and the kids complicated bunk beds before they arrive on packing day

It's just a matter of filling out the paperwork and scheduling a date. They take 1 or at the most 2 days to pack it all up.
As to timing - our shipping rep was assigned 03/13 and we had a pack date scheduled for 03/27-03/28. It got put on hold on 03/24 waiting for visa le and here we are, still waiting.

Well, i hope i don't get to hear that word again "put on hold"...
They love to use at :cry:
Anyway i hope mine will go faster as we are living in the UAE, its only 8hrs driving to my camp in KSA from here!
So if i were to change to cash in lieu, when exactly do you receive that amount?
My visa is ready and stamped, just waiting on the official email.
When they tell me to resign, i should receive it shortly after?

Pretty sure that you have to submit expenses following arrival in KSA and wait for reimbursement according to Aramco's schedule. I know that I read that somewhere, but cannot point to an authoritative source...perhaps speaking with Relocation Adviser and asking a specific question.

You will get cash in lieu in your second months pay check provided you mention it ahead of your departure. If you wont declare this option you will still have 1 year to claim it.
I would still recommend you to check from your relo advisor.
