Good afternoon all. I am a Canadian. I am a Civil Engineer with 15 years of experience. I am currently negotiating with Aramco. I have a wife and two kids. Currently, I am making $ 150 K base salary with RRSP (matching) and stock option. What kind of package I can expect if I am considered for project management group? Do I need to pay tax in Canada if I have houses in Canada but my family moves with me? What type of life we can expect in the compound? How far is work from the compound? Can you buy all the necessary things in and around the Aramco compound? How safe is it? How conservative is it? Thank you and Regards

Many Canadians have posted on the forum about paying taxes back in Canada. I suggest you do a search on any topics you want information on.
Life in the compounds is family oriented with lots of social interaction with friends. Many activities for the entire family to choose from. You can read under Living in Aramco Communities, I know three of them have a post on the self interest groups on that compound.
How far is work, depends on where you work. If you work away from the compound you live on, the it could be up to an hour to an hour and a half away.
Yes, you can get most anything you need in the commissary or in the local town souqs, malls, and grocery store and hardware store. It may not be the brand you are used to, but we all have learned to be creative.
It is safe here. Safer than living in any major city in the U.S. or other countries in the world. You should always be observant of your surroundings and not go into large crowds, but that is true most anywhere.
KSA is the most conservative ME nation. That being said, woman can drive on the Aramco compounds. Dress on the compounds is pretty much however you want to dress. Would not include short shorts, midriffs showing or transparent clothing. But shorts, tank tops, sleeveless blouses are all acceptable on the residential part of the compound. Women need to dress conservatively in the local community. Abayas or conservative loose clothing covering elbows, hips and down to ankles whether a dress or pants - which ever she is comfortable wearing. One piece conservative swimsuits required for ladies at the family pools.

Vpainter, Thank you very much for insights. I really appreciate it. I will talk to some accountant folks. How about vehicles, is it cheap to buy there? Finance? Thanks,

Aramco has facilities in different places (Safania, RasTanura, Al Hasa, etc). Which ones are for Canadians? Which are the ones that have school, store, etc?

Canadians do not have a particular place. All nationalities live in every Aramco compound.
Aramco has 5 company compounds: DHA, Rakah, RT, ABQ, UDH. It has facilities in other places. You can work in a facility and live in one of the compounds. Or you could work in a place like Yanbu and live in a local community compound.
All the compounds and most facilities have dining halls. The compounds all have a commissary.
DHA, RT, ABQ, UDH have schools: PreK to 9th grade. Rakah has PreK and then the students go to DHA schools. Aramco schools have an American Curriculum.
British kids sometimes go to a British curriculum school that is not on the Aramco compounds.
