How long does it take for new arrivals to get Iqama / re-entry visa? I will be arriving to KSA in May from US and I read on this form that some people had to wait until they finish their 90 days probation period to get Iqama / re-entry visa and other group of people got them within few weeks.
Thanks in advance for the help...

It seems to me that you answered your own question (and congrats on researching the forum before asking a question that's already been answered).
One new wrinkle may (may) be that Iqamas for engineers now require certification from the Saudi Council of Engineers. I'm not sure if Aramco is taking care of this before arrival for this requirement (which was not being rigidly enforced before six months ago or so). If not, that will be the first thing that new engineers need to take care of (search degree attestation, etc in other threads).

Thanks Wutz.
There are several different answers for the question (90 days probation VS couple of weeks) which is why I am trying to get a clarification. I guess there is no one answer and it varies from one case to another just like everything else

You really seem to have got the hang of this answering your own question thing.

You are right GroveWanderer, assuming there was actually an answer
