Hi
I got accepted to work at Aramco, i am married with 1 child but going on a bachelor status Grade 9. How long will it take me to get upgraded to a grade 11 so i can get family status and bring my family up.
Does it take years?

At GC 9, you need to come knowing you may never reach family status. GC increases are not guaranteed. They are possible, but you cannot depend on getting them.
There have been exceptions given to GC 10 bachelors and they have been able to bring their families. You will have to work on and keep requesting an exception to the rule. First answers are always, no, keep asking.
But again, GC 9 is not normally family status.

I would agree with vpainter and come with knowledge that it is very difficult for an expat who comes on a GC 9 to get to GC 11 as the jump from GC 10 to 11 is classed as very significant.
It can even take a Saudi employee many years to make that sort of GC rise.
