Dear all, First of all I'd like to thank who created this forum and all the participants for there input as I followed this forum for nearly two years so far. I'm Irish passport holder engineer. Just joined one of GS+ companies ladt month and the surprise happened yesterday as I got an invitation from Aramco to have FTFI interview next week. After two years of applications at last I got the invitation. Aramco recruiter did not mention anything about the position or the department just gave date and time and asked me for my information to get the gate pass. my questions are as follow 1. Is it normal that the recruitet to not mention the position and the department? Should I ask him? As I applied for many positions throughout the last two years.
2. Should I inform them about my current job, as I did not update my CV. I was working for another GS company before which does not have any contract with Aramco any more and that company is the one that is mentioned in my CV.
3. Is working for a GS+ company that have contract with Aramco will make them to change theire mind about the interview?
4. Does it take to long to go through the security gate of East park?
I will be graude if someone can answer these question.

Go to the interview. You can let them know of the update to your CV then. Take an updated copy to give them.

Thanks Vpainter for your input I sent an e mail to the recruiter asked him about job description and department and the only reply I got is that the position is project engineer but did not mention anything about the department or the job description my understanding is that project engineer so the department is PMT Am I right? And if so do anyone knows what's the role of project engineer from Aramco prospective?

so here is my update I've been contacted by a recruiter from AOC (first time to be contacted from there) and she said that she got positive feedback from the department but there is no final decision yet and she asked me to fill in an application, send her my qualifications certificate and latest 3 pay slips. and she said as she will receive such documents, I will hear something in two weeks.
I did send the documents and she confirmed the receiving of the documents but she added that the final decision will take few weeks. I know that I did not do 100% in the interview because I am much in technical side (design) and the position is for project engineer (PMT).
the position I interviewed for still in their website, is that mean they still interviewing others?
still the 10 fingers crossed

thanks James and question for you as an engineer from one background (structural for example) should you know a lot about the other disciplines? I noticed that the project team is nearly 4 or so and they do not have all the disciplines?
my observation came as I interact with the PMT during the design phase.

It is two weeks so far since I had my interview and asked to submitt my salary slips two days later Does anyone know when they should inform me if I'm not successful? As mentioned earlier I did not do that 100% at the intetview but till now they did not inform me that I did not pass.

goatlast, And the answer is no - it does not mean yes or no, it means three weeks so far since your interview and no feedback. That is all. Everyone that interviews for Aramco has a different experience and timeline.
There are many different departments, divisions, and units at Aramco, and every one has their own method of reviewing resumes and interviews. Some hires are no-brainers (as in a perfect fit for the position), and some have 20 good candidates, from which the hiring managers need to choose one (sometimes in consultation with a team). Some very specialized positions can go months, with a hundred candidates, none of whom are quite right. So huge variation is timelines are normal.
My advice is to cultivate a significant store of patience. If you freak out about a little delay in interview feedback at the start of the process, you will go crazy before the sometimes multi-month process of actually on boarding.

so my friends, here is the update. I got a phone call today from Aramco and someone from HR in Saudi asking me to get them NOC (Non Objection Certificate) to furnish me with an offer. as Im currently working in Saudi. my question right now is, what if I go to my current employer and asked him for the NOC and then Aramco decline to give me the offer, then Im playing looser looser game. I will loose my job and loose Aramco. the problem is that my employer can refuse to give me the certificate and I'll be in an awkward position. Does anyone know anything about this NOC? is it mandatory? any help will do.
