I want to know does Aramco provide Peanut free environment at its schools. What about lunch, does kid bring his own lunch from home or his/her lunch is provided by the school. Is there any expatriate employee's kid who is having peanut allergy and he/she studies and lives in Aramco compound ?

The schools do not have food at school that is sent in by a parent for the class, at least in DHA. In all the schools the kids go home for lunch (except the kids living in Rakah) or bring their lunch from home if they have club meetings, or eat at the snack bar next to the campus in DHA. There are posts in the discussion group: Living in Rakah, that discuss what their kids do for lunch.

Thanks vpainter for your kind information but do you know: 1. Are there any expatriate families whose kids are suffering from nuts/peanut allergies ? 2. Any idea of food labeling for peanut free products ? 3. Any idea that Aramco schools do not accomodate kids suffering from peanut allergies ?
Doug.

In K3 and K4, parents send snacks to school for their kids, and the kids are not supposed to share, and they're not supposed to bring peanuts or peanut er. As vpainter said, the schools don't serve lunch. Kids go home for lunch. Additionally, they just made a rule that no food is to be brought to school for sharing, including classroom parties or birthdays.
If your child has a peanut allergy, I would advise you to of course let the teacher know, and also request that the teacher send a note home to the parents letting them know that there is a child in the class with a peanut allergy.
I think you also can leave an epi-pen with the school nurse so it's available in case of emergency.

Doug2014, yes there are other kids with peanut allergies in the school - that is the reason for the new rule of no food brought for sharing.
