Hi -
I am an applicant from London, and have applied for a position in Finance (position not confirmed, but they said I would be considered in the controllership function - Accounting Policy and Advice).
I had my face to face panel interview in London on 19th March 2014, and before the interview I was asked to submit paystubs, copy of degree and passport (which I did).
Interviews were held as part of a recruitment workshop which Aramco had in London and over a 2 week period interviewed more than 20 candidates (is what I've been told by HR).
I was told by the HR contact that I should hear back with a decision pretty soon, he indicated within a week.
I have been in contact with the recruiter and he says my application is with the Saudi office and in process - and has no indication of a "Acceptance" or "Rejection".
Each time I speak to him I get told that I should (hopefully) get an answer soon.
Last he said was that the Saudi team is working through the applications and confirming offers etc, but he has not heard about my case. It appears things are not in his (UK HR's) control and that he too was not aware of where things are.
Can anyone help me in figure out what this means and where I stand. Reading comments on the form it appears the process can take months - but is there any way of expediting it. I am in a spot where I'm interviewing for a few other companies, and would really appreciate if I can get some certainty with regards to where I stand at Aramco. My questions are:
- Is there a way I can request for my case file to be expedited, if I do so could I potentially weaken my chances of securing a potential offer?
- Anyone else interviewed for finance position from London and has heard back - can you please share your experience.
- Seems they interviewed quite a few candidates and have a few roles to fill up - could it be a case that I although not rejected, have been put on hold, i.e. they will first offer to their top candidate(s) and if they reject then offer to candidate "b"?
- any other tips of advise to alleviate my anxiety would be appreciated!
Thanks for your help!
