All, I have recently accepted an offer from Aramco and it seems that I will be travelling to Saudi around July/Aug 2014. Could anyone of you help me find answers to the following: 1) How long it will take me to arrange visit visa for my parents after my arrival in Saudi? 2) Can I get a multi-entry visa for my parents? 3) Just like we have TIC or blue cross here in Canada , are there some travel insurance companies that can provide health insurance plans for visitors in Saudi?
Thanks & Regards,
Junaid

1) Once you have your iqama and resident visa, you can apply for your parents a visitor's visa. The process can take 1 to 6 months.
2) No, Canadian visitors only receive a single entry/exit visa.
3) Yes, there are insurance companies, but do not personally know any. Aramco visitors cannot use the Aramco healthcare system except for emergencies.

Hi We are in a similar position, requesting information regarding a parent coming to visit us once we have moved to Saudi. We are from the United States. I understand from what I have read that my husband, who would be working for Aramco, can invite his parents or siblings to come over. May I, as his wife, also invite my parent to come over for a visit? If so, are there medical clearances she must receive first ? In addition to the timeline you have recently posted, will I be able to apply for a five year visa for her? Should we only receive a single entry/exit visa for her, is it permissible to apply for second Visa in the future? Thank you for all of your expertise. Your service on this forum is exceptionally valuable!

1) I would add; to make sure that you are comfortable and know your way around first.
2) Consider flying them into Bahrain - we do this so we can have a few days in Bahrain at start or end or their trip. Plus bringing them in through causeway is easier - Dammam sometimes takes a little while for new entry.
3) Lots of insurance companies - any one will do...
Good luck.

I am not sure of the answer with so many changes occurring. Wife's parents came previously and they could only get a single entry/exit visa. But that was before the 5 year multi-entry/exit visas were being given to U.S. passport holders. Husband's parents could get multi-entry/exit visas.
When you apply for the visas you have to declare how they will be coming into the country: air, land, etc. whatever the visa says, that is the way they have to come in.

Thank you for your replies. In applying for my parent to receive a visitor's visa, will she be required to first receive certain medical clearances? Thank you

No medical visas for visitor visas. Visitors are not allowed to use the Aramco medical facilities except in cases of emergency.
