We have decided to take CIL and do a air shipment ourselves of about 10 boxes.
Our questions is regarding toys, our daughters have a large collection of Monster High dolls and access which they are very found of. Will we have any trouble bringing them into the country??

In my humble opinion, it's a matter for you to decide. Technically, if you ship them in, they could be confiscated - that's the reason the Aramco guidelines tell you not to ship them (i.e. if they tell you not to, you do, and they are confiscated by customs - you cannot complain). If you hand carry them in, they could also be confiscated by customs at the airport. So you're really asking - is the inconvenience of using up luggage space on the flight in worth the percieved lower risk of confiscation relative to the value your daughters place on the toys? I don't think anyone can give you hard percentage likelyhood of confiscation in shipping vs. luggage - no one is likely to perform that particular experiment.
That being said, you can buy a lot of toys here locally in stores or in Bahrain that do not seem to meet the strict restrictions that could be imposed by customs. In my opinion, customs is going to consentrate on making sure that much more harmful contraband, such as drugs or graphy, are not imported. I don't think they are going to care all that much today about children's toys. My advice is to ship them, and in the very unlikely case that they are confiscated, think about how you will make it up to your daughters at that point.
I am sympathetic, as we brought in a 10 year old daughter when we came, and the move was very traumatic for her at first (born and raised in the house we moved from to here). Within six months of coming, her atude had changed completely to the point she is bging to her friends about all the things she gets to do here, and rarely plays with the toys that we brought in (in luggage, because we had similar worries to yours).

Thank you for your comment, I think we will do half and half and see how we go. They are already thinking about what will happen if they are not allowed, and I have told them they will have to think of a new interest, they have already mentioned o kitty which is at toys are us I think they are very excited about the move!

My opinion is bring them in your checked luggage. They go through customs with you. Where if they are in the shipment they go through customs without you. They would be much more likely not to take them with you, your wife and your daughters standing there able to speak up about them being your daughters' toys than if no one was with them.
Don't laugh: dress them conservatively or wrap them in a dish towel or piece of material and pin it on, so they are conservatively covered in case they happen to look in your suitcase and see them.
I personally do not think they will even look at them coming in your checked luggage. But could happen.

Thanks for the tip vpainter,
My daughter also have some monster high dolls that she definitely wants to take with her. My previous idea has exactly to take them in the checked luggage.
