Hi there,
I'm new to the forum and my mind is bursting with questions and I hope you can shed some light on a few queries that I have. I attended an interview via video conference which was daunting and surreal to be honest as I've never attended an interview in such a form before. Anyway, it proved to be successful because I was offered a position which I'm forever grateful for. I've since had to apply for a new passport which is taking some time however after reading a few topics on this forum, quite a few are discussing a visa block and so has my agency, can anyone explain what this entails? I hold both a South African and British passport (I could've applied via my UK passport but that meant having to apply in the UK which wasn't an option due to timings and so forth) so I've since applied for a renewal. At present, my application is at Police Clearance, medical and of course visa. Can anyone say how long the process is once the clearance & medical has come back all positive in terms of the turnaround for the visa?
I received my offer at the beginning of February and my agency envisages me being mobilised by the 3rd May, am I getting ahead of myself here with the timings?
I look forward to your responses

The best thing for you to do is search for "timeline" on the forum. You will see the timeline for visas vary greatly and all timelines are normal.
