Hi I'm reading through some blogs some interesting comments about living in Aramco camps, so i would like to ask:
1.- I've read that instead of bringing your Tv's from home to buy new ones in KSA because the one i have here won't work there (?) i don't have 3D or interactive TV's. have normal HD TV's. Do i really need to get rid of them to buy new one there, specially because i read some topics here that quality of electronics are not the best and they're overpriced.
2.- Can i do modifications inside de house, i.e. install wall supports for TV's?. for me it is safer specially if you have young kids and a TV may tip over when in a table.
3.- Can the banks inside the camps do transfers oversea to any bank in the world? its expensive?
4.- The cable companies can offer Major League Baseball Packages? how about Spanish Soccer League?
5.- If you have to translate some documents and you have to pay to notarize some documents, i'm not sure if these expenses are included in the relocation expenses?
6.- I'm used to have here at home a family doctor that see for all our needs as family. In camps, is there a general dr that can see you for general inquiries and if you need any specialist (knee, heart, etc) he/she will refer you to the proper specialty? do we need to bring our medical history to the camp doctor so he can have it for records?
Any information would be great.
Thanks,

1. TV service here is the PAL system, in the U?S? It is the NTSC system. You can bring your TV's, but you willneed to bring converter boxes for them unless they are multi-system.
The TV's here are good. There are more expensive than in the states. You can be strictly PSL or multi-system TV's here. A multi-system TV can be taken back to the US.
DVD players are region related also. If you have a multi system TV, it can use a U.S. DVD player. If the TV is PAL it will not work. You can also purchase multi-system DVD players here. But some DVD's you buy in Bahrain, even though they are Region 1, won't play on a multi-system DVD player and they require a DVD player from the U.S. We have one of each so we can play them all.
2. You can do modifications inside the house. Hanging a TV is not a problem. If you make major changes (room additions), then you have to get it approved and use a contractor approved by Aramco. Housing will give you the list of contractors. Changes not approved by Aramco must be undone when you leave.
3. yes, but do not know the charges.
4. OSN carries a channel that has MLB, don't know if there is a Spanish soccer channel, but lots of soccer on TV.
5. Save your receipts, fill out paperwork for reimbursement when you get here. Ask your recruiter about reimbursement.
6. When you come to Aramco, you will select a Family doctor (GP). He/she will refer you to any specialists you require. Specialists are only in Dhahran. GP's are in each compound. Rakah has an emergency clinic, you go to DHA for your GP. If you have medical issues, then you should bring a copy of your medical records for your new doctor.

4. beIN Sports covers the Spanish Primera Liga. In fact, they cover all the major European leagues, the English Premier League, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, French Ligue 1 etc, along with the UEFA Champions League, the Europa League and most international matches.
They also have the covee rights for the upcoming World Cup in Brazil, although they haven't announced the package prices yet.
