Hi,
On this same note, do the houses have heat also. We live in Bahrain so we know that winter can be a bit of a surprise to people not expecting to have a few months of cold. I know this is relative to our friends from the North. But don't be surprised by how quickly you get used to the heat, after 6 years in the region everything under 20 degrees C is cold to us! Just wondering if we need to bring our portable heaters when we move.
Thanks,

All houses in Rakkah have central AC (cooling).
However, some houses (specifically the older houses -- we arrived last August) actually do not have central heating. That was the case with our house. So we requested heating units to be installed. They did a quick turnaround and did the installation on the next day.
However, due to shortage of heating units at that time (around Jan/Feb 2014), only 1 heating unit for the 2nd floor was installed. We did not have any for the 1st floor.
All of the newer houses have both AC and heaters.
