Hi All,
First of all I would like to thank the people handling this forum and the members contributing to this wonderful site, without you guys, people will be desperate and clueless. I find this site every informative and useful.
With my long wait already to its end, I just got word that I will be leaving for Ras Tanura end of this month, and all of my papers are already ready ( just waiting for my ticket). My only concern is that they told me that I won't be staying inside the Aramco camp. The information they told me is that Aramco camp are for Bachelor status and GC 14 up with family status. I am currently a GC 11 with family status so apparently I will be staying outside the camp. I'm just wondering what is life outside ARAMCO camp? 1.) Is it safe?, 2.) Can I use the ARAMCO camp facilities? (like gym, school for my kids etc.) 3.) transportation.
Please do help me with my queries, your response is highly appreciated.
Cheers,

Unless things are changing (and they do so all the time), people's children who live outside the Aramco camp cannot go to the Aramco schools.
If you have an Aramco ID, you can get on the Aramco compound and use the facilities.
Many outside compounds have security.
There are taxi's in the local community. There are buses on the Aramco compound that can be used with an Aramco ID.

Interesting. I wonder if this is something new and if it applies to all Aramco compounds or if this is specific to RT.

Are you being hired directly by Aramco, or as a contractor?

GC11 implies Aramco employee.
They told you what? GC 14+?

Hi,
May I also ask: For family status but living outside camp, I understand that kid's school has to be outside. It was mentioned though that with Aramco ID, in-camp facilities may be used. Does this apply only to the Aramco employee or including his family (wife and kids)? and would it be applicable to any of the Aramco compounds ?

Anyone (employee and dependents) with an Aramco ID will be able to gain access to the Aramco compounds. Only Rakah originally required a resident to sign you in. I have been told that is not the case now.
