Hi Guys Has anyone attended an interview in London in Feb 2014 or in March 2014? for an engineering position with the Gas Operations team? I would be grateful if you could share your interview experience with regards to the questions you were asked in the interview and general format of the interview. I look forward to your responses.

Hi Alishba The interview was very informal (I interviewed last week). I had worked on a Saudi Aramco project in the past and they asked me to go through my role and responsibilities on that project and asked a few technical questions and quizzed me on my CV and past experience. Interview lasted around 35min. A few other people had gone in for their interview at the same time as me and we all came out more or less at the same time. I was told they will get back to me in 2 weeks’ time or so fingers crossed…. Have you had your interview? If so how did it go?

Yaa mine was very similiar - informal quick chat - Why Aramco ? --- Take me through your CV. However i dont have high expectations from the interview because the guy pretty much told me that my experience was predominantly in a different sector then oil and gas. I dont have high hopes form this to be honest!!! let see..who knows!

Hi, They invited me for an interview in London office but as i were away from UK they arranged an Skype interview. Aramco Representative asked me technical questions but to my surprise all questions were about a very junior position compare to one i applied for. Last Monday i received e-mail from AOC in London that they have good news for me, initial feedback was positive and my pack now goes to Expat Employment for an offer to be put together and then goes back to the department for sign off by management including a Senior VP and this may take a while. She stated that " nothing is guaranteed until all the procedures are completed but it looks very good at this stage". Fingers crossed, Looking forward to offer letter.

Congratulations EHS, that’s great news . If you get a chance please do update us on the offer you receive. i.e. was it based on an hourly rate you get here? As you did mention you had been working as a consultant / contractor. I emailed the Aramco expatriate recruiter this week with the “Candidate Reimbursement form “and also requested feedback on the interview. He got back to me and confirmed the receipt of the “Candidate Reimbursement form “but did not provide any feedback on the interview….. Alishba have you had any feedback?

You give up too easily. Since the process can take up to over a year, you haven't waited at all. It takes patience to come to work for Aramco.

I managed to speak to the AOC recruiter. He told me all the people who were unsuccessful were notified within first week or two of their interview. Because I’ve not had any feedback yet it could mean that they’ve put me on HOLD for now or alternatively I will be made an offer, he is going to follow up my application and was told I should hear from soon….
What is the difference in being unsuccessful in the interview to being put on HOLD? In both situations you’ve not secured a job…

Hi All,
I was interviewed last week in London and though the recruiter told me that it takes upto 2 weeks to complete the follow on activities. I was just getting a bit impatient with how it would go on from here. My own assessment is that the interview went very well (lasted for exactly an hour).
Asking this question as a friend of mine who got interviewed in March and was selected received his offer after 2 days.
Members who have recently been interviewed and selected, can they please share their experience. Is it a call from the recruiter or an email that you get? I am planning to travel end of this week and wanted to get an indication on timelines and process so as can amend my plans accordingly (if needed).
Thanks

BA733354, this current information is already on the forum. Please do a search on the forum for "timeline". You can read current and past timelines. It does not need to be posted again.
Just let your recruiter know you are traveling and would like for them to email you. Most offers are emailed first, then a hard copy with more information follows.

Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone can give any input regarding the following. I was contacted by a recruiter from Admiral Placements regarding them putting my Cv forward to Saudi Aramco, (I am an Electrician by trade), I received a phone call at 11.00 am in December asking if I could attend an interview that same Day in London at the Mayfair Hotel, I explained that due to my location it would be impossible for me to make it in time that day, I was then told that it was the last day of interviews before they returned to Saudi and I would have to wait until they came back in the New Year. Admiral Placements have recently posted on their Website that interviews will again take place on 24th April till 1st May in the UK so I am hoping I will get another chance. Does anyone know who Admiral are recruiting for and what the project is ?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Neil.
