Hi, I have heard that the local recruiter does actually exploit you. They get the offer from SA, but they change it and give you lesser offer from the actual one, is it true? And then you negotiate with the local recruiter over salary package etc. Or they send you the same offer that's been sent to them from SA. Thanks.

If you are a direct hire with Aramco, your offer is not going to change. If you are a contract employee for Aramco, your contract isn't coming from Aramco, and the recruiters and companies are not subject to Aramco policies.
Don't sign anything that is not what you discussed. Get everything in writing.

Thanks vpainter but what do you mean by direct hire? Like in our case the concerned department for which my hubby applied made all the interview arrangements and the local recruiter did nothing except asked for the updated resume and pay stubs... So what do you say?

A direct hire works directly for Aramco. Then there are people who work in Aramco but their employers are contract companies.
You can read under the discussion group: for contractors who work in Aramco, about some experiences working for contractors.

From my experience:
I am also working with a recruiter but my offer is coming directly from Aramco. When it gets here the recruiter has asked me to contact them so that they can help me understand it. Personally, I would find it a bit odd (as a direct hire) if the offer was coming through the recruiter rather than Aramco.

Hi Beena - I received the offer on March 6, accepted it, and sent it back to ASC Houston this morning via FedEx. Now we get to wait and see if we pass all of the contingencies.
