Bina, I really understand how you feel, the same is going on in my mind too.Disconnected??
Its been 6 months after my payslip submission and still silence. :?:
I expect a mail from them to tell us that the process is discontinued but nothing still.
If only they can say something, till then we keep on waiting, leaving our normal lives but the waiting........ :?
Please keep me posted when you hear anything.

I guess sometimes a Manager who has approving authority is not available or on vacations so it takes longer time to get the offer signed or there might be a housing issue that they don't have enough homes available to bring new people and accommodate them, I am just guessing, could be any reason.

Please do the search for timeline on the forum. Timelines for any stage of the hiring process can be long or short. Long can be up to and over a year.

mkimtiaz, Your guess seems not very far from the truth, I understand that there is a change in the leadership of the department and there is no hiring for now. What I don't understand is how long it takes the leadership to establish continuity. :?: I am even wondering if the pending hiring process will still be honoured. @ Vpainter, You have always come to the rescue when needed. Thanks for the reminder. Just that the delay is becoming unbearably stretched. bina, Any news from your husby? Has he enquired to know the bottleneck in the process. Still waiting for more update. Keeping my fingers crossed. More than nine months of inactivity after interview.

Melody,
That's a long wait, for me, its been 3 months since the interview and no response other than that I am being put on hold, I guess you are right that the hiring process was put on hold for now, it will be a great relief if anyone like VPainter who is working there can get some insight on hiring delays but the strange thing which I do not understand is that they posted more positions for the same department for 2015 while they have not filled the positions for which they already interviewed people. I hope this long wait worth at the end.

mkimtiaz, That is exactly my concern.Putting one on suspense without any definite answer. Have they asked for your paystubs??? that is where my own stopped 6months ago. I hope the whole waiting worths it at last.I notice that job posting too  even the one I was interviewed for.Very amazing :?

Sorry, no one from the forum can help you with this. Timelines are all different and some are really long and others are rarely short. this is for each stage of the hiring process.
Just continue to live your life, it will happen, when it happens.
I know that is not what you want to hear.

Hi Bina, Though your posts are conflicting as indicated above 1st quote was written Nov 2014 and the second Jan 2015. but whatever happens. The posts suggest that the timeline is becoming unbearably stretched and impatience has set in. Not your fault. I understand. My update is still same -silence :? .This Feb 2015 made it full one year I was interviewed.Quite amazing. Just like yesterday it is already one year. I am still wondering if something is still coming but nevertheless, I will not lose hope and will keep on remembering it everyday since the day of the interview. I pray it comes to pass ASAP. No assurance from SA and the waiting continues. How about hubby? is he still zealous of a response from SA???
