( as we are mentioned to reside in abqaiq till our accommodation is available in UDH, does that means UDH is very crowded or too small or they set up the housing as per need. and are the utilities cables fones all included in the rent? how much is the avee rent of a 2 bedroom? 2-is th furniture provided my the aramco new or used? do they also provide children furniture like crib, captain bed, study tables etc? 3-At what age they take your child in kindergarten, mine will be almost 2 and half till we reach there.(med/visa process still to go) 4- is there a fees structure for this age or its all provided my the Aramco? do they have a preschool for toddlers in the compound, library with kids section etc?\ 5- how good are the medical facilities in the compound hospital. is it easy to get quick appointments or there is a waiting like here in canada? or they are just walk-inns? 6- what would be a must must thing to bring along from here with a child of 2-3 years of age. 7- is its okay if we don't want to bring our furniture from here? thats is we will not regret our decision when we reach there? hopefully!!! 8- do we need a car in the compound? 7 i have heard lots of women activities in the compound, are they on-going or seasonal? i m interested in some excersice or weight lose programs  . 1. I think the 2 bedroom homes are approx. 1500 sq feet. Udhailiyah is full because we have a lot of contractor families living here, but they will be leaving this summer as soon as school finishes. Udhailiyah is also the smallest compound. Internet is 150 riyals per month. All other utilities are included in the rent. I am not sure what the rent is for a 2 Bedroom home. My best guess would be about 1500 riyals.
2. The furniture may be new or gently used I think. The furniture is rental furniture...basics...nothing too nice. They do have cribs available. I don't know what a captains bed is, but the only beds they have are single and double beds. Yes, they have study tables/desks, bookcases, dining tables, etc. The appliances in UDH are old and most definitely very very used! Hopefully soon they will get around to replacing our outdated appliances.
3. for K3, your child must be 3 years old by August 31. The fee for K3 is 825 riyals per month. You may be able to find a preschool run out of a home that takes 2 year olds.
4. K4 is free. Yes, there is a library with a children's section. There is also a youth center. Currently, there is a moms and tots group meeting in the youth center every week in the morning. It's perfect for toddlers.
5. The clinic is good. We have a small community, so it's easy to get an appointment the same day. If you cannot get an appointment, but want to be seen, you can walk-in and wait or go to the ER. I wouldn't call what we have a hospital, but the facilities are enough for the community. We have plenty of doctors and nurses living in the camp. There are ambulances ready if needed. If you go to the ER, and they cannot treat you in the clinic, they will transport you to Al Hasa/Hofuf or to Dhahran if needed.
6. bring your child's favorite toys and snacks.
7. You will probably want to buy furniture once you get here. There are lots of places to shop. I would suggest buying everything when you're living in Abqaiq, before you move to UDH. It's hard to shop from UDH because most of the nicer stores are in Khobar, and some don't deliver to UDH or only will for a fee.
8. Yes, you probably will need a car or a bicycle with a bike trailer. If you live close to the school, then you probably don't 'need' a car. If you don't, then you will want one. A lot of people use golf carts, so that's an option as well.
9. yes, there are lots of women's activities in the compound. You can join the women's group and other self-directed groups. There are dance classes and zumba for ladies, and a women's gym (They're actually building a new women's gym with a pool! It's supposed to be finished in July!)

Thank you so much Ummriyam. About those golf cart, are they also available on rent? Also they are saying that my husband will be residing in hawiyah plant for week days and will come home on weekends, but as hawiyah is only 45 mins distance from UDH compound, why don't they give him daily commute? Regards, Zuny.

Hawiyah is more than 45 minutes drive. I think at least 1 hour. The work schedule there is different, not 7-4, so that's why he will stay there during the week.
No golf carts for rent, but you can buy one used. I've seen two recently for sale. One that was just put up for sale a few days ago is 12,000 Riyals to give you an idea about the cost.

I'm not sure about the rent for all the furniture, but the prices are generally pretty reasonable. I think our second refrigerator is 17.50 sar a month, and we have a twin bed that's like 5 riyals a month. I think curtains are like 27 riyals per pair each month, so it's really worth it to buy your own. I think you can keep what is in your house for a few months free of charge, but we never rented much furniture because our homes came empty since my husband is Saudi.
Yes, 120 V appliances will work in the kitchen. I think most of the kitchens only have 1 220 V outlet.

Most of the homes are exactly like what you find in the other compounds, so if you've seen pics of Dhahran or Abqaiq houses, then they're the same. You can look for images of Saudi blog or Saudi scenes. One of them has a lot of photos on FB.
I don't know how many houses are currently available, but like I've said before, a lot of families are moving over the summer. Depending on when you will arrive, you might be able to move to UDH directly. Home renovations sometimes take a couple of months depending on the condition of the house and if it has been updated before or not.
