I would like to check with everyone here on the availability of the 220/240v outlets in family housing. I know most of them are still 110/120v, but knowing the Saudi government is standardizing the whole country towards 220/240v, I wonder if the whole house will be converted to the new standard?
Most posts in this forum mentioned only around 4 sockets will be installed upon request at predetermined locations around the house. Are they still the same or has anything changed?

Mostly the same unless you receive a fully renovated home. Then there is dual voltage throughout at this time. In unrenovated houses, I have seen: 2plugs on same unit in the kitchen; a2plug unit in the living room, a 2 plug unit upstairs in the central area of the bedrooms, a two plug unit in the gae. Others may have more or less, this is just one I have seen.
