o All, I have read on a number of posts in which people recommend bringing an unlocked I Phone 5s (If that is one's model of choice and that is what we would like to use in SA). I am wondering if I can get such a phone in Saudi Arabia and if the cost is much greater than here in Canada? Question number two involves another bike related question. I am wondering if I can purchase a cruiser style bike in Saudi Arabia and, like the IPhone, is the cost much greater than here in Canada? I am pondering whether to ship my bike from here or save the space/weight regarding shipping and buy one there. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

I suggest buy it there. I have heard iPhones here don't have the FaceTime feature activated. Cost wise, you can compare prices at the following sites: www.extrastores.com/en-sa/www.jarirbookstore.com/Regarding bikes; again bring your own if you are overly attached to it, otherwise you can buy pretty much any type here (Eastern Province). I bought a hybrid Trek for myself last year and the store was stocked with all types.

FaceTime will not work in any middle eastern iPhone. Apple blocks it based on the phone serial no so I suggest you buying it in Canada.

iPhones do work in the Middle East, I got 4s from UAE with face time then I got a 5 in Qatar and had no issues with them both. But I agree get at home if possible as better.

Colts18 and Azraeil,
"Thank you very much" to the both of you for taking the time to offer me your advice! I greatly appreciate the assistance. We will get our phones here before we leave, and I will think about the bike issue with a more rest assured mind. Cheers!
