o,
I've read numerous postings from the forum which I have found very helpful. Thanks for the administrators of well managed forum. This is my first post...
I am in early stage of recruiting process, waiting for Marine department to confirm their attendance in London interviews February 24 and 25. I was initially invited for interview on November. Unfortunately I was working on a ship at the time and I had to cancel. Few days ago I received another invitation for February 25. Recruiter has booked me a slot on 25th 09.45, so I am excited.
Job description is available in following link:
careers.jobsataramco.eu/sa/saudi ... -up-barges)?ss=paid
Is there anyone who could tell me something about Aramco's Barges and floaters since it seems to be very difficult to find information from web? Position is announced to have rotation 42/21 with company paid vacation and travel. At the moment I work on 1:1 rotation (5 weeks on / 5 weeks off). Most of the rig based workers that I know of works on 28/28 rotation. I was told by the recruiter (he double checked with the department) that relocation to Saudi is also an option with normal working schedule of 5/2 (weekends of). I wonder how that works? I've never heard of such working schedule on barges nor any other rig or ship position. Maybe somebody could lighten me up on this?
I was also asked to send my payslip and some other information to recruiter well before the interview, is that a common practice?
Any tips for the interview are much appreciated as well... I know, be yourself and take it easy, act calm with confidence etc etc. Easier said than done, but I guess they won't bite. It won't be a bad result anyhow. Some experience that might be useful in the future. It really is a win-win situation.
Hope to have few answers and excited to (maybe) join the Aramco team!
Thanks a bunch,
"fingers crossed"
