Hi,
A question on schooling. When we arrive, my daughter will be six and go to the Aramco school in Dhahran and my son will be four and go to K4 at Rakkah. We also have a 1 year old.
I understand from elsewhere on here that both school and kindergarten start at 7:45. I don't know when exactly they finish. However, at least to start with, my wife will want to take both to school/kindergarten and collect.
So, any suggestions as to how can we make this work or at least mitigate the effects?

The onsite K4 is in the afternoons only and finishes around 15mins after the school buses get back (if I have my timings right). That is more than enough time to collect both. In any event there is an adult monitor on the bus so after a few days/weeks you and your wife might be trusting enough of the system (and moreover find all the bus journeys wear you down) that you let your six year old travel to school and back by themself.

Just a follow up on this. Where does the bus go after dropping the kids off at school - does it round trip and end up back at Rakah? I am just wondering how my wife can best get back to drop number 2 off at the K4 at Rakah. If this is sensitive then please PM.

o to All; We are planning to travel to Rakah this month, and I need to know if TB skin test has to be done before arrival to KSA for children between ( 5 to 10 ) years old for their preschool/school. Hepais A vaccine could be done is a Rakah medical clinic, cause it is not easy to do it here in Montreal, we have not enough time.
Thank you
Youcef

The school bus doesn't go back to Rakkah after it drops off at the school. But there is another bus that runs every two hours between Dhahran and Rakkah. It picks up at the Hills school at 9 and 11.

Thanks revive.
I am careful not to be going into too much detail here but this does raise another question. After dropping at school and the next bus, I reckon there is about 75-90 minutes gap. Obviously, I am unfamiliar with the geography but is there a useful/reasonable way to use that time in the vicinity of the school? Or is it just dead time and hanging about?
