o, We have been advised that hubby must mobilise first and get his Iquama then apply for the family visa - please can anyone advise a rough timeline for this process? Our relo agent is fairly clueless. Thanks

Mainly they do not want to give you false hope. The family visa can move as fast or as slow as the employees and anywhere in between. From all I have heard it usually falls between 2 and 9 months, with the unofficial avee between 3 and 4 months.

Hi VP I really can't understand how come ARAMCO direct employee's application took very longer than other contractors or services company. I know one of my former colleague who work with aramco but under contractor status. He told me that his visa was so quick after they interviewed him. But he was at single status at that time. Now he got upgraded to family status and he brough his family within one week. So total net duration is 2 weeks. One week when he previously obtained his iqama ( in fact 3 days). So really worried what is behind all that long journey for aramco direct hire ?
Thanks very much VP

Depending on visa blocks for employees, if it comes through fast, that is great, but most do not.
Family visas depending on time of year could be quick, but if I told you 2 weeks and it was 3 months or + you definitely would not be happy with me. If yours happens to occur quickly, then you will be happy. But there is every bit of chance it could be longer as I stated.
Contract companies do not necessarily have the same requirements that Aramco has.
When bringing our grown kids in, the visas have taken 1 month up to 6 months over 13 years. We always allow a 6 month window.
