Hi All,
I hope everyone had wonderful festive season holidays. I would be highly obliged if anyone can provide any comment on my query.
I have received an email on Dec 12, 2013 from Expatriate recruitment representative stating that I need to provide time slots from Dec 16 till Dec 19 alongside with updated CV, application for employment form and scanned copy of passport.
I provided above mentioned information; however, I didn't receive any confirmation till Dec 18. So I rang up the lady in London and she was waiting a confirmation from department or interview panel. I was worried that time slot will expire on Dec 19 and I follow up with Expatriate recruitment representative and she advised that now the application will be picked up by team in new year. And, also she will advise if she receives any information.
I can understand that X-Mas and new year break might have affected the delay; however, should I again follow-up with representative to get new dates.
Any new advise or comments will be welcome.
Thanks,
|

Hi melbourne
Are you in Australia? We are in brisbane and hubby had a video skype interview on 4 Dec. They had initially requested available times but then all interviews were put on hold. Since having the interview, the recruitment company have been great in responding to emails, we are using a company in Melbourne. I would do a vpainter suggested and keep touching base with them. Good look!!

Thank you vpainter and aussie hopeful for prompt and encouing replies.
I will ask London office again whether they are still interested and I am happy to provide new time slots. I am not sure, but the response from representative was not very warm as you usually receive feedback in Australia. Anyways, I will keep asking every now and then for update-
I will email the London office on Monday and see if I receive any feedback. Even last time, I had to call and couple of emails before representative in London team replied me back. I hope most of the team in London and Dhahran be back by Monday. I am bit conscious not to upset the recruitment team in London; however, last email/phone communication was on Dec 19. I just wanted to know if they have any specific time frame regardless if that is 2-3 months down the track. Let's see if I am successful in getting some hints for next interview time slots.
@aussie hopeful, Yes, I live in Melbourne and currently working with company. Thanks for kind words and hoping to see a positive outcome. I hope your husband will also receive positive outcome. Byetheway, was the interview on Skype or they book a video conferencing facility in Brisbane.
Regards, Melbourne

G'Day Melbourne,
If your recruitment company is from Melbourne then they have a operational shutdown ( Christmas Holidays) until 14th of January. I was trying to make a telephone contact yesterday in reference to sending back all required documents for Medicals/BI and above mentioned message has been left on answering machine. Don't worry mate your time will come as well. My timeline so far from initial contact to employment offer = 5 months. Every case is different and as vpainter mentioned on few occasions patience helps a lot.
Cheers
Kris Outback

Interview was video Skype from home.
Also if your last responce was 19 Dec chances are they were closing the next day for christmas break. Our recruitment office wont be open until monday 6 Jan so they will not have our signed contract and paperwork unril then. The agent has reasured us that this is ok.
Good luck

Thanks Kris Outback - I totally agree, patience in key in Kingdom, but only uncertainty makes your more frustrated . If you have weekly/fortnightly updates from recruitment agencies then you can have peace of mind. Actually, I have directly applied via Aramco job website, so one of the agency in London is taking care of scheduling. Thanks, Melbourne

Hi Melbourne,
I was contacted by Aramco recruiter 2 weeks ago to setup a video conference interview. I have provided my date/time slot , they said some one from Houston office will contact me . However no call received yet from them. Not sure it is a positive sign or as everyone said patience is the key :-) .
Can you please send me PM , in case once you receive the final video call setup details , likewise i will do the same.
I got your PM but unable to respond to you there due to not having privileges for PM.
Thanks and good luck ! Ray

Thanks for the message Ray786. I was first contacted in second week of December and provided date and time for VCI. Unfortunately, X-Mas and New year hold up things and recruiter in London advised that interview will be picked up in new year. I contacted recruitment agency, but after few emails, I asked if Aramco is still interested in conducting interview. I been advised by London office that they will find out and update me. It has already been over month now . I also understand patience is key in Kingdom; however, I only wanted to know if Aramco is still interested for reschedule. Regards, Melbourne

I have already posted comment on other VCI interview thread. Anyways, the position I applied was up on Aramco for 3-4 months and finally received notification for possible interview in mid December 2013. It has been now 1 1/2 months and interview has not been conducted.
Also the position has been removed from Aramco site.
Let's see if I hear same update from my recruiter.
Thanks,
Melbourne
