Hi ,
As you know we were recently offered an option to switch to the global payroll. For some, this option is attractive as I feel it is for me but am only concerned about not having medical experience (outside of being treated at SAMSO) and life insurance. I have these benefits currently and was wondering if anyone has advice or can refer me to the right insurance company (rep contact if possible) where I can apply for these insurances separately for me and my family. If I cant resolve this, it will be unlikely I'll opt for the global payroll. Given we have limited time to switch, your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Leaf, There are many 'expat medical plans' through various large insurance companies. Someone who is currently working in the KSA had posted that they purchased a medical plan locally and it was around 1000 ryals, unfortunately I could could find the post. I have found a few others that provide excellent covee and are around $1000 for a family depending on the options selected. Essentially you just need a emergency travel medical policy that covers you for your OOK annual time. Here is one 436 per family annually: www.holidayguard.com/Annual-Trav ... html#tab_0 I have sent you a PM

Just got the offer, no mention of medical insurance, insurance, relocation, selling vehicles etc. also, do not find my monthly base any significant different from my current job in canada. Any tax expert someone can refer, info on this board is old as that guy is retired now. Also gc13 and engineer 1,2or 3 is still a mystery.
