despite being 30 years old with an immaculate health and background record, my offer was withdrawn. they say i failed one or more contingencies, would not specify what. they said their not specifying was for my own protection (HA!). then they said they hoped i wouldn't be discoued to apply again. why would i apply again, knowing that a mystery contingency stands in my way?
the answer, of course, is that they overhire, then ditch the leftovers.

When one department has an issue, it does not mean another department would not hire you.
People who apply again have received jobs.
Your choice to go through the process again. This time you won't get your hopes up as you did this time. You will continue to live life and if it goes through then you come to work here if that is what you want. The hiring process takes time.

I feel for ya jjj...that's a rough situation to be in...you kind of get your head set on changing life as you know it...and then it all just falls to the wayside for no apparent reason. As vpainter said, go ahead and reapply for something else if you really want to work for Aramco. Once you mentally commit to something like this it's pretty difficult to change your mindset. Best of luck to ya going foward!

My headhunter suggested applying again to the same position. It follows that would be the same department.

I also recommend you apply again, even for the same position. Different departments do have the same job les.

I got rejected the first time too. I had to wait 2-3 months before I was rejected. Anyway didnt give up and applied again for another role and got it. Should be going out Feb / March.
