o all. . . my family and I are going to be arriving next week and we have a couple questions:
- how should my wife prepare for clothing in the airport, i.e. does she need to be fully covered? can she wear pants as opposed to long skirts? will she need to cover her hair?
- we have a 2 year old and a 7 year old, so while we're waiting in DMM, any recommendations for keeping them occupied? Not sure what facilities are available in this airport, so any suggestions on activities during the wait would be appreciated.
- will Aramco be prepared with enough cars to transport our family of 4 plus 12-15 pieces of luggage? If not, how do I ensure adequate car space?
- do suitcases and dish barrel boxes usually get opened at customs, or are they only x-rayed?
Thanks for your help!

Hi Caliman,
1. Let your wife wear loose clothing and cover her hair(not mandatory) 2. You will be arriving probably late at night, if there are long queues your wife can sit down with children and let them relax. There are no facilities for children to have any activity. Usually families are allowed to proceed quickly by opening additional lanes for families with children for Immigration and customs. 3. Aramco provides big vehicle for families with children, you will have adequate space for luggage 4. The luggage usually gets x-rayed, but it can be opened if they see any stuff looks strange to the personnel at the customs.
All the best on your move, welcome to the club.
