Hi everyone,
I have been offered a position as an Engineer III to work at rabigh. I am a UK national, I am still deciding to accept the offer or not, the reason being after some research I havent been able to find my information about Rabigh aramco.
Could some who knows/working there please let me know - what the working enviornment is like? - I have been told the food, accomodation, traveling will be provide and hence 65% on base salary - does this mean I have to find my accomodatio and pay from this 65% ? or does it mean that Haka will pay as separate ? I was told here that I would be staying in a expat compound , anyone one know what one and what is it like ? what is a good salary for an electrical engineer at grade 12 level ? I appreciate you might have answered it before but I really do need to have a peace of mind before I get on the plane
kind regards Nasir

I don't think its that bad. Hundreds of engineers are coming right now, so there are some difficulties, also the Govt is short of iqama cards. If you are engineer3, I don't think you can earn this money in UK. No disrespect intended. If I could earn anywhere near money, I wouldn't have come. Send me pm for clarification

drnasir32,
The conditions can be good dependant on weather or not you have to find your own accommodation or are on a remote site. A few colleagues of mine share an apartment in Dammam, they pay a few hundred (UK pounds) each a month for a fully furnished and serviced apartment with wifi and all bills included. They are fairly close to their respective places of work so make the most of their down time in a fairly large city. I live in a remote site camp…the facilities are fairly basic but most service providers have to provided a certain level of comfort, food, facilities (recreation and welfare etc). If housed on a remote site your food, cleaning, laundry are all free, the overtime is good, 20 to 40hrs per month, as well as a 10% remote site allowance, based upon your basic salary. The only think I pay for is my fuel bills (6 Uk pounds to fill up a 100 ltr tank) and my mobile phone bills which are approx 100/150 SAR per month.
Hope this helps

Thanks guys for the information. I have received my visa and am expected to report to work in rabigh in mid feburary. My biggest concern is still the accomodation as I cant get a straight answer if it will be provided or not. Also am not sure as yet what exactly am I going to do job wise ( no job description). my contract says 65% over base is for food, transportation and accomodation, any of you guys get the same package ?
thanks guys

Hi Friend i have been offered through Al Falak as Construction Engineer III. I need the help in knowing the things--
(1) My work location, they are mentioning, is Dammam Office Building. does it mean i will never get chance for overtime & remote site allowance? (2) Being the employee of Aramco through Al Falak (Contractor), gives value to my CV for getting job in other reputated company. (3) How much i would be able to save in this location. because there is no extra they are giving other than this salary. (4) Because this is a 1 year renewable contract. does it mean,, my job will be ended after 1 year? (5) How reliable the Al Falak is? (6) What will be my work profile in at this role?
please somebody reply me,, i am really confused
