Do you need a visa for Bahrain to visit on the weekends or to fly out of that airport?

Depends on which country you're from (for the Bahrain side of things) but most definitely you will ned a Multiple Entry/Exit visa from Saudi, otherwise you will not be allowed back into Saudi.

If you are not a member of the GCC (do not have an iquama) you cannot get a multiple-entry visa for Bahrain. You can buy a single-entry visa at the border for 50 SR ($12)

I am Swede and travelled to Bahrain via causeway for the first time from Dammam. I did not need to pay any monies for the entry visa. The driver told it was free as my iqama is with engineer profession. Nallebjörn

If you're outside of GCC, then a visa is required.

When I was here, I needed a visa. But you could inform yourself better and thus be more sure what you have to do here - africanjacana.com . Also, you will find out more about this locality. I'm talking about restaurants, transportation, living and about how much money you're gonna need. When I want to travel somewhere, I always inform myself first, and then I decide. It helps me a lot, but in general, I think everyone loves to know as much as possible about something beforehand. As far as the dream is concerned, get in here and check it out.

Does someone know how is the situation in Bahrain now? I applied for my touristic visa few days ago on this website evisa.express/en/bahrain and expect the results in the next couple of days to be issued. Can you guys give me some tips where to go and what should i expect from the country? It's gonna be my first time in that part of the world, I am very excited about it but also slightly worried about the trip.

Hi. We are planning to take a flight out from Bahrain. But curious what’s the best way to get to Bahrain airport? Should we drive (pay for causeway toll and I have heard long lines at the border)? Or should we do a taxi - and how much is that?

Or should we do a taxi - and how much is that? Just be sure to get over the Causeway in plenty time. We normally used this situation as an excuse for a night in Bahrain before flying out. A taxi from RT to Bahrain was around 500sar each way, this includes the toll fees. Be aware anything over three suitcases warrants a trip through the xray scanner on the way back. I was lucky to always avoid it due to having little kids, but some of the customs/border officials are strict and it can substantially add time onto your return journey.

It seems visa requirements for visiting Bahrain or flying out of their airport depend on your nationality. As a Saudi citizen, you would not need a visa for short visits to Bahrain, like weekends. However, for citizens of other countries, a visa may be required even just to transit through Bahrain airport. It's best to check the latest visa rules based on your passport to be sure of any requirements. Bahraini immigration authorities should have the specific visa policies listed online.
