I had a set of general questions about some items that I hope to receive guidance on from recent arrivals pertaining to what to bring on the plane.
1) Soaps, shampoos, deodrants - I heard that these may not be allowed because some of the products contain alcohol. Is that correct? If so is there a preferred, allowed brand?
2) Same question for headache and cold medicine e.g. advil
3) Batteries, can these be carried on the plane and/or in the E-box?
I am not overly concerned about bringing these if I can get local brands at the commissary and if there is basic stuff waiting when there get there. But I do want to make sure that locally accepted brands are easy to purchase relatively quickly.
Thanks in advance for any responses.

We bring in all those things in our checked luggage, no problems.
The commissary and local grocery stores carry shampoos and conditioners and deodorants. They may or may not carry the brand you are used to. You may want to bring a bit of your choice until you can find ones here you want to use.
We bring in Advil all the time, because it is rarely found here. They do have ibuprofen, just not usually the Advil brand.
You can buy batteries in the commissary. We like energizer. Sometimes they have them sometimes only Duracell or another brand.

Thanks vpainter. Not picky about brands so as long as the stuff is available at the commissary I am fine.
