Hi, I am Civil/Structural Engineer from Greece. A couple of days ago a recruiter approached me for a job opening at Saudi Aramco. The role is a Civil Engineering position at the community services department. The recruiter is working for a well known recruitment agency and her le is Principal Saudi Aramco Recruiter, not directy employed by Aramco though. We exchanged several emails and she asked details about my working experience etch; she ended up saying that she would forward my application and would let me know how things are progressing. Not being familiar with Saudi Aramco recruitment process, I have some questions and I would really appreciate it if someone could help me. 1) Is it common for Aramco to recruit through agencies? 2) I know that Aramco prefer engineers with an Oil & Gas background, does this rule apply for engineering roles at the community services department? (my experience is in the Real Estate Development sector) 3) The job is described as "staff permanent position, residential". Does this mean that the successful candidate will be directly hired by Aramco and will deal with residential projects (either new built or refubrishment of existing ones)? Thank you in advance

You could be hired directly or through a contractor as a "contractor"

Hi Zach, I'm in the process of clearing all the requirements to move to KSA to work in the Upstream Oil & Gas business, so i can relate to you a little of my experience:
Yes, they used an Agency for the initial contact, but then if Aramco likes what they tell them, they will contact you directly for interview(s). After being selected, the rest is very well covered in this forum, i.e. offer stage, background inv, medicals, visa, move.
Good luch cgyguy
