o all,
I had my job offer withdrawn yesterday. Naturally, this is aramcos perogative and their decision to make. I'm deeply disappointed by their decision to withdraw the offer. However, a greater disappointment is caused by the fact that they haven't provided a reason for the withdrawl. The letter simply says that I 'have failed to meet the conditions in the original offer'. As far as I am aware, the only thing outstanding was my medical, for which clarification was sought by aramco, and provided by me in the form of a letter from my surgeon. It's taken around 7 weeks to get a response and I appreciate the process takes time.
My question with respect to the above is, is there anyway I can find out what the specific reason was? I've asked my relocation rep and he has said he will ask the question but an answer isn't guaranteed.
I'd be grateful for any advice.
Regards ndad p.s. Is it worth me applying for other positions within aramco or am I just wasting my time as well as aramcos?

Hi,
I was thinking it might be helpful if you could provide some additional details such as which office you being recruited from and what area you were going to be working in. As I understand the process, it is actually the department you will be working for that makes the decision about whether you pass or not. If you feel comfortable doing so, you might also want to tell a little bit about your condition and overall situation. It might help you find the right person who could help you out.
Just a thought.

Hi,
Thanks for responding. I was applying for the 'field compliance coordinator' post, based in abqaiq. I had two lots of knee surgery on the same knee, with the last operation 3 years ago. Injury happened as a result of playing rugby. Knee has been fine since with no recurrence of the problem.
Many thanks ndad

OK. Rugby probably means London office. Field Compliance? Is that a job where you need to be on your feet a great deal? If so, then Aramco might consider you for a desk job. A knee isn't that big of a deal if you will be sitting all say.
I really do feel bad for you and wish I could be more help. I'm replying basically to bump this thread in hopes you can find somebody who works in that department.

Fourier2020,
Thanks for responding, again. The letter from my surgeon said as much - in that, yes, I've had surgery but my knee was good and stable. I undertake daily inspections/site visit in my current role without any issues. Had they asked, I would have said.
Any who, I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I'll wait to see what my relocation chap comes back with in terms of clarification, if anything, and I will then consider where to go from there.
Kind regards ndad

I was just wondering if an offer withdrawal can occur while waiting for one's passport to be stamped with visa at the embassy?. This is after passing the BI, Medical, Visa block, cert. attestation etc. stages.
Thanks

In 10+ years I have heard of one being withdrawn at that stage. Do not know why.
