the community info. service has been offline for a while and i would like to know if there is a volleyball league or teams i can join. is there a phone number i can call?

Call CIC (Community Information Center in Al Majamma) or look at the list of self directed groups that was in your home when you arrived. If you do not have one CIC will give one, go by and pick one up.

Call CIC and get contacts for the groups you want to be involved in or check your self -directed groups list for the contacts.

I talked to CIC and got the info on the volleyball group here in Dhahran. There is a volleyball group that plays on each Sundays and Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Al Munirah GYM. You just need to show up, however, this is not a recreational league, they are pretty good players and compete in tournaments.
I do not think there is a recreational league (plays for fun) here in Dhahran.

If you get enough interested people for a recreational group, go to recreation and fill out the necessary paperwork, they will get you a court and time to play.
