Hi All, I have had an offer from SA in London. I have two kids, one of whom is disabled. Her disability is global development delay. 1. Would this be an issue to fulfil Medical requirements? 2. I have read various post and understand that Aramco does not offer any services for disabled children. What I would like to know or obtain is a list of any Disabled School for children in Khobar/Damman? If there are any, would these be in English? Would Aramco support the cost for such schools?
Hope someone would be able to shed some light on the above so that I can make some decisions.
Thanks.

I know two families in DHA with disabled children, both families take their child to a school for special needs in Bahrain. I do not think there is one in the kingdom.

I know they do not supply transport. I do not know if they help with tuition.
I do not know the travel time, it will depend on how busy the causeway is at the time of travel.

Hi James, It is a direct hire. My child does not have any specific medical requirements, its the disability. I will be discussing this with the local expat advisor soon. I appreciate that SA does not provide any type of facility for disabled children, just was curious to know of anyone in a similar situation. I am not expecting any school, but a place where the child can go during the day and see other people, such as a day care with disabled kids in Khobar or Dammam etc. (in English if any)
Do let me know if anyone is aware of any such facility.
Thanks.

Hi All - Need advice from group. I have a physically disabled child that uses leg splints and walking frame to move around. There are no special education needs (such as Dyslexia etc.) and currently attends mainstream school in the UK. I have been offered a job at Aramco and have following questions:
- Does Aramco healthcare provide walking aids (walking frames, standing frames for stretching etc) and continuous physiotherapy support for such children?
- Are Aramco and other mainstream schools being accessible for such children?
- For school transportation does Aramco provide any special way of travel if such children cannot go on school bus?
any help / advise would be very useful.
Thanks
