I'm on the US Payroll and will be having two kids in college next year. Per the EAP Program we will get two round trip tickets per year per student. I was told that SA now just pays a set amount, as opposed to a reimbursement of the actual ticket cost.
Is that correct and if so, any have any idea of the amount SA is providing?

It is a set amount. It is enough to buy them a economy ticket round trip from the airport nearest their schools, unless it has changed recently.
To be eligible for the EAP money, your student must submit proof of enrollment for each semester and after their first semester their letter must state they completed the last semester as a full time student and are enrolled in the current semester as a full time student. This must be written on school letterhead.

Thx for the info, great to know the amount is fixed.
As it is a fixed amount, could someone who has recently received this benefit for children in college in the USA please provide an amount.

It is a fixed amount to the airport nearest their college, which means the amount may be different depending on where your kids college is located and which airport is nearby.

Thx for the info, great to know the amount is fixed and for the clarification that there are probalably slight variables depending on which particular city.
As it is a fixed amount and understanding that there could be some variables depending on which particluar city, could someone who has recently received this benefit for children in college in the USA please provide an amount.

Bosentang, IIANM for North America, there is 3 regions (East, Central & West) and any city within those regions will get a fixed amount. It is no longer for each individual airport/city etc.

Bosentang,
In our case the fixed amount is enough to almost cover 2 business trips to Dammam. But you may opt for whatever class you buy the tickets for your College child.
What I don't know if this is related to SC as well though.
Your Recruiter could give you this amount.

Good morning, I have some questions also regarding EAP assistance given to employees. Up to what age an employee`s child is eligible to receive the eap and what are the conditions for being able to receive that allowance?. Does Aramco pays that allowance in some kind of reimbursement form after the employee pays fist the expenses or is the allowance being deposited every month at employee`s bank account?. How much is actually the EAP per child?.Is the eap amount different (less or more) in case someone sends their children abroad in a college? Does this eap covers university studies as well or not and up to what grade?. Are there english school classes for adults inside the compounds if someone desires to improve his/her english?. thank you

EAP pays up to a certain amount for kids in the 10 - 12 high school grades. Someone else may know the amount these days, it has increased since we used EAP. They are considering adding 9 th grade to that, but I do not know if it has happened yet. They also get 3 trips a year back to KSA.
For college students EAP is for trips to KSA only for 4 years, 2 trips a year at the end of each semester.
Both of these, proof of enrollment is required. For college students also a statement of being a full time student is required.
Once in the EAP program, the money is given to the employee prior to needing to pay, you turn in paperwork showing the amount of tuition due. Travel money is given 30 to 60 days in advance automatically. You may buy your child's ticket earlier, at that point you would pay for the ticket and when the money is distributed it would be a reimbursement.
You can use the travel money to bring the student to KSA or for the parent to go visit the child or whatever, you could meet somewhere in between.
There are English classes for adults through the Aramco Adult Education program.

The new EAP is like this
Maximum EAP allowance is 5x your basic salary up to a maximum of USD48,500 per child (this is for OOK Boarding/Tuition Fees)
Employee has to cover 10% of the tuition fees so if for example your base salary is USD10,000, then your maximum enlement is USD48,500 and If the Tuition Fee is USD50,000, then your enlement is USD45,000 (as you will pay out of pocket USD5,000 or 10% of the tuition fees)

o all, my husband got his offer and waiting for his visa. We have 3 kids, 19,16 and 14. I would like to get an update on the EAP allowance eapecially because my eldest is in a Canadian university already. My question would be does the company have provision for kids like him currently and what would it cover?

It is possible that for your eldest is refused residency as in the the eyes of Jawazat he is an adult.
If you manage to get him residency status then that would only be for as long as he is in full time education and up to max 25 years old. EAP for higher education is the cash equivalent of 2 full price economy return tickets per year, nothing else.
18-25 daughters can have their Iqama renewed up to the 25th birthday (provided they are unmarried or in full time education). In both cases the Iqama will not be renewed beyond their 25th birthday and its family visit visa time.
