I am moving to Rakah in the first week of December. We just had our first baby 10 days ago. I am wondering if there is any part time nanny or service available in Rakah to take care of infants for 4 Hrs a day for the month of December. Hopefully in a month the paper work will be in place and I could invite family for help. This is a major concern for my family at least for the initial probation period to go smoothly. Any help, information or suggestion in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Another option might be to look for a postpartum doula. You could try contacting the La Leche League in Dhahran and ask if they know any postpartum doulas. www.llli.org/saudiarabia.html Karen is the listed contact for the Eastern Province. Sarah and Anne are both in Jeddah.

Thanks for the suggestion UmmRiyam. I contacted Karen but didnt got any response yet. I also contacted dona.org for any postpartum doula referral but they only have one contact in KSA that is in Riyadh.
Any other suggestion or help will be highly appreciated. Is there a chance to get some help from the local community (Dammam / Khober) while there in Rakah?

Daily in Nannies are usually found by word of mouth once you arrive. Ask your neighbors and have your husband ask his co workers about nannies they know.
Your husband can go through HR if he wants to sponsor a live in nanny. Paperwork cannot be done until you are in kingdom.
I know this doesn't help before you arrive, but it is how its done here.

You would need to talk to HR in DHA to know if you can bring her or what you need to do.
