o,
I am a married woman who has recently been offered a position working in HR. I am extremely excited about my offer but as it is on Single status, have some questions to ask I am hoping you could help me out with:
We are considering the option of my husband and 10month old baby living in Bahrain while I stay on camp and return to Bahrain for the weekends. My questions are as follows:
1. When she is of school age, do you know what school options there are in Bahrain eg. The name of an American school I can look up to get an idea of cost? 2. Roughly how much it would cost to get a taxi from Dhahran to Bahrain?/ to hire a driver 3. Just wishful thinking but has anyone heard of a way that I could at least get my baby to stay with me even if my husband decides to remain in the UK?
Thanks in anticipation for all your help

Families do live in BAH. Taxis and private drivers are about 250 - 300SR one way.
Women are not given family status.

Are women still not offered family status? Any change in this given so much is changing for women in KSA?

Women are not given family status, no change, and do not see it coming any time soon.

I believe Family Status being only for men is enshrined in Saudi law, rather than being a policy thing for the company.
However, married women can now have ‘Bachelor’ status rather than ‘Single’ status - which is more generous.

There would be a need to check into if bachelor status is more generous than single status now that the bachelors are down to one paid trip a year.

I do know Bachelor Status is better than single from what ASC told me--one extra trip equal to two weeks. Just wasn't sure if Family Status was an option bc of law or SA policies. Thought it might be a law thing.
