Dear All,
I have been reading this forum since I was invited by a recuiter for an interview working for Aramco in London. However I have been told today that actually interview is with HAK working for SA. I have done the search on HAK on this forum and there are couple of really insightful posts. I do appreciate that this forum is for Aramco expats but I would be grateful if someone can shed come light on couple of questions I have.
* The interview is for a 12 months renewable contract * The job is single visa status with family status negotiable after probabtion.
Both of above are deal breaker for me, I was just wondering if anyone knows that HAK are/will be flexible in this regard and can I request longer contract and family status during the interview (that is in case if I am succesful).
I am in two minds on whether or not to make the effort of attending interview (I live miles from London) so any feedback will be great.
Cheers, Gona

Thanks james_unlimited.
Another question please for you or anyone else working as contractor.
Have people successfully negotiated family status after probabtion ?
and
Have people got their contracts renewed after 12 months ?
Both of above on assumption that you are good at your job.
Regards,

I have attended one of their interviews in London and as I had an offer. As I understand, Contractors always offer single status but someone may know better.
It's worth attending the interview as you get to meet other people as well. I was fortunate to get an offer straight away after the interview though I didn't accept it.
If you can leave family behind then it is really worth considering as money is not that bad to be honest.

HI from ADn I had a interview through HAKA with saudi armaco , they offer me role as well for at REBIGH and mentined orally that time food + accomodation + transport will be provided at free of cost due to remote location . when HAKA send me their offer letter this thing was not mentioned , they mentioned base salary + over base as 65% of base salary for food , transportation and accomodation. They mentioned orally that $500 will be extra as remote allwance not mentioned in actual HAKA contract. i think this food , accomodation , transportation must be mentioned in contract any one have idea? Another thing this contract is 1 year renewable any one has information what are chances for renew of contract. Any more information about HAKA

Everything needs to be in writing. You should not sign your contract until everything is listed. Verbal agreements mean nothing.

Hi james unlimited
As a contractor your staying in a compound? Which compound?
I thought contractors have to find their own accommodation.
I will be coming out in February 2014 working on NITI - training organisation sponsored by Aramco. My location is Abqaiq. Would I also be able to get accomodation in the compound or live in the Abqaiq community.
I'm a bit nervous. Dont know what to expect.

Very Important to get everything in writing. Verbal agreements mean nothing.
