Yes it is normal.
I suggest you email every couple of weeks. When the recruiter knows something, they will contact you.

That interview happens quite often. Job offers do follow those type of interviews. But length of time between interview and offer can be long or short anD requires patience.

Hi Dil, I had a similar interview to yours in November, it lasted about 20-25mins. I was very shocked when I was asked if I had any questions, however, I did receive an offer one day short of two weeks. I totally understand how many things could be going through your mind right now but trust that such interviews are normal. Best of luck and do keep us posted.

Hi, I'm new to this but have spent quite a few nights reading this forum since I completed my face to face interview in Houston on December 4th. I just received a call this morning (December 11th) from my recruiter and he asked that we (my wife and I) give him our names as they appear on our passports, email address and mailing address. He stated that they are working on my offer letter and I should recieve it via email by COB on the 12th. I'm very excited as this seems to be on a fast track compared to what I have read. After we accept the offer, can someone tell me what the next step will be? Also, any advice on what information or paperwork I can start gathering now to help expedite the process would be appreciated. This seems like a REALLY GREAT opportunity for my wife and I.

Don't hold yer breath! I was told I would be made an offer last Feb and have still heard nothing. Chased it up with London but no reply. My "offer" obviously fell off the table at some stage but nobody in Aramco Recruitment was prepared to look into it for me or just say "sorry but it's been withdrawn". Same thing happened to another interviewee I made contact with. Completely unprofessional but sadly not atypical of the company or country.
Hope you are luckier.

RickT,
The process can move quickly or slowly, usually the next step is they will send you the documents for filling out a VISA, Medical forms, and Background Investigation.
There are some things you can do to help move things along.
You can go to the Saudi Consulate website and download the medical requirements forms, then schedule a physical with your physician to have them run the tests. If you can't do this, don't worry, the company medical screening will also run the same tests.
Gather copies of your diplomas and school transcripts, they will be used to obtain your VISA and match your experience to your VISA le.
Go to your local municipality and pull a criminal background check on yourself. Also, if you have moved around a lot in the past 10 years, you will need to provide that information to the BI investigator. They will also run a credit check on you, so if there is anything there that can be damaging (late payments, foreclosure, repo., etc), make sure you can explain it to the investigator's satisfaction.
Once you have returned the required documents and the BI is complete, they will assign a relocation advisor to you, who will schedule your Medical/orientation. Once that is clear, they will begin working with you on getting you sent to Arabia.
The process can be long, it can be frustrating, but patience and preparation are the key.
I interviewed at the end of Sept., was offered a position in mid Oct., went to Medical in early Nov. and departing this week.

Thank you so much for your responses. I received the verbal offer this morning and was told the e-mail offer would be sent by tomorrow. I will also, go to the Saudi website and download the medical paperwork just to get things started. This site and all of those who have posted have been my link to sanity. I will continue to read and continue to post as things move along. Thanks again.
