I like to thank everyone on this forum for the contribution. This is extremely resourceful platform of information.
I have a question regarding my offered work location. I am a Canadian. My offer letter states I will be working in Al-Khobar for Jazan Refinery Development Department, living in Dhahran (most likely Al-Rakah now). However my job functions are not clear. I have tried to clarify it with my ASC recruiter no of times, but response has been that it will be clear only when I arrive in Saudi and placed in the department. I also received conflicting responses regarding my work location.
- Anyone with similar experience? Please share.
- Is there an expectation for Engineering function personnel to go to Jazan for construction support / commissioning?
- what is the status of Jazan Refinery project? Is it under Engineering or construction has started? I researched on net, and learnt that overall start-up is delayed by 6-12 months (now Q4 2017).
- Is it possible to speak with my potential supervisor for clarify job functions / job locations etc.
