Hi, new to the forum and to KSA. I'm working and living in the Expro compound which is close to Dhahran and Khobar. All our contracts over here are with Aramco. There is little or nothing to do here outwith work and I find myself one of only 2 Brits amongst a myriad of other nationalities, who all seem to have their own little communities going. Can anyone suggest anything to do in the area, or any kind of ex pat community that exists here? I know that you don't want any Tom, Dick or Harry having access to your compound and community, but are there ever any circumstances where non employees (albeit sub contracted to Aramco) might be invited into your community as guests? Any information would be gratefully received. Thank you.

You can visit the Aramco compound if you know someone who lives there and they are willing to sign you in. You would be unable to participate in most of the activities because they are for Aramco employees GC 11+ and their dependents.

Thanks for your response. I imagine I will come into contact with quite a few Aramco employees when I go on site soon so I will see what happens. What sort of activities were you meaning, I'm not really sure what you actually have within your community. And that said what would actually be available to me there if I were fortunate enough to get an invite?

The activities are for Aramco employees and their dependents.
You would be able to go to the commissaries and see a movie, eat in a few of the restaurants or dining hall. Possibly play a round of golf with someone.
All other activities would not be available to you.

To be honest all of those are better than the opportunities we have open to us at the moment lol. I will see how we get on when we start working with Aramco employees on the Well site. Thank you for the advice and help.
