Junking a Car

For non-Saudi employees, please follow these steps when you want to junk a car:

Step 1 > Go to the Saudi Aramco Affairs Office.

Step 2 > Inform the representative that you need to junk your car. You will be given the proper form to complete for this purpose.

Step 3 > Contact a junkyard of your choice, or Saudi Aramco Affairs will contact a junkyard, to collect the car. You will need to provide the junkyard, or Saudi Aramco Affairs, with a copy of your iqama, Saudi Aramco ID, and the original car registration booklet (istimarah).

Step 4 > The junkyard will commence submission of papers to transfer the le of the car to the junkyard, collect the car and tow it away.

Step 5 > Saudi Aramco Affairs will assist you in obtaining a government computer print-out to insure that the le of the car has been transferred from you to the new owner (the junkyard). It is important that you verify the le has changed or you may not be able to obtain an Exit Visa.
