I plan to accept an offer for Dhahran in Engineering. My wife who is a doctor with US education and licensing has some concerns. There are openings available in her field in Dhahran, and she was initially offered an interview. But as my (spouses) interview and offer materialized, she is told she cannot even interview. She will have to wait for at least 90 days and then start to look for opening and who knows what is the situation then and how long it will take after that in camp or outside of if at all. And the issue of staying out of practice in her field is significant. I do not understand the rational behind this? Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

This has always been the way Aramco handles spouses working anywhere in Aramco. She must be in kingdom to apply. Benefits come through the husband.
Most medical positions are waiting to be decided after the John Hopkins joint venture takes over in January.
