Hi,
I will be interviewing within the week for a secretarial position (administrative not medical to my knowledge) and have found this forum to be an invaluable resource in deciding to apply for the role.
That said, I've just done the online typing assessment and seemed to have been wearing someone else's fingers so it might all be moot anyway!
I have scoured the forum for all posts relating to 'secretary' and whilst some have been very informative, some have - understandably for a public forum - been quite 'cagey'.
Therefore I was wondering whether any existing (or those who have left) secretaries would be willing to share their experiences with me of living in Kingdom, particularly in relation to the teleconference interview and questions, working conditions, salary expectations, responsibilities of the role (121 or supporting a team etc.) and educational opportunities. A number of the posts (particularly the negative one's) seemed to be from 2010, and I would be most interested in a more up-to-date opinion.
I am currently an EA to a director in the UK. My reasons for applying are: 1) the adventure / experience and 2) the economic benefits. I have been reassured and encoued by the camaraderie exhibited by almost everyone posting on the forum, and firmly believe that a situation is what you make of it. That said, I would welcome the views of as many people as possible to get a full picture of life working for Saudi Aramco and living in a compound. (I'm conscious that the jobs website is a recruitment tool.)
For more context (should it matter ), I am single, a celt of the Welsh variety, and sociable but able to keep myself amused w/out going stir crazy.
My email address is: cld.hillside@btinternet.com
Many thanks in advance for any responses.
Kind regards,
